For the last project of my second year, I designed an avalanche safety program for a "fake" mine opening up in Colorado year-round in 2021. This includes everything from data collection methods, a forecast plan, avalanche mitigation techniques, installation of new buildings, designing a snow safety lesson for mine workers, emergency management plan, budgeting, and more. Since this last project is so long I have left out the main project on this page and have a link to the PDF version of it at the bottom. This project really showcases the variety of topics I have learned throughout the program from risk management to all things snow and avalanche related.
